According to a recent survey by the National Association of Home Builders, energy efficiency is an important factor to many homebuyers across the country. Not only do energy efficient homes allow homeowners to pay lower power bills, but they also have a positive impact on the world we live in. A study conducted by LawnStarter ranked the sustainability of 200 large U.S. cities by examining key variables, such as zero-waste buildings, electric cars, farmers markets, and more. The top five most sustainable U.S. cities are:
